I am just listening to your commentary :p. I lol'd when you said "well, I just took a picture...that's cool"

Also, 15 minute shot came out alright. Its kinda weird trying to set up shots in the dark but I like it. I think once I figure out the processing thing Ill head out for longer shots.

Yeah, I looked into stacking. Seems easier. I do like the idea of just pushing a button, setting an alarm and forgetting about the camera for a bit. I got 2 batteries coming in on monday when I swing back through laramie so Ill probably try some more of these shots on the trip.

I found some cheapo knockoffs for $25 and come with a car charger. Figured they would be fine as back ups. The nex-6 does awesome on batteries but the longer shots kill it pretty fast.

I have read never to get knock off as they never seem to work very well. Lease with canon stuff..

Yeah the reviews said they don't last as long but it is decent for the price. As back ups I don't care so much I guess. The 2 will last long enough for the original to charge.

Fixed the processing issue. Man, that would have made my night 20x more productive.

Yea Monte, when shooting video it rips through the battery quick. I went through 3/4 of a battery for the three videos I shot yesterday...

And yea on the focus thing, in the daylight you have to shoot at f22 pretty much exclusively because its so bright. so that means just about everything is in focus anyways... Need an ND filter to shoot at lower fstops in daylight. Thinking about picking up a 3 stop filter for the summer cuz f22 isnt the best image quality, be nice to shoot f8 all day.

And check my ghetto focus adjuster out! When I say jason I mean Infra, he wanted one of the hats im wearing.

hell yeah! i'm planning on getting a newer gopro as soon as i have some more cash flow to spend on toys. I sold mine a couple weeks ago but even with the oldschool gopro i still had a blast with it and it made for some cool footage attached to my helmet or strapped to a headband. Haven't really found a major need for a nice camera setup but my hobbies change like my underwear so no guarantees that will last
