Double Cab Sub box design

I drafted up a sub design at work the other day. Here is a sneak picture of what the assembly will look like. The following picture doesn't have the other side or front of the box, but it gives you an idea of what the box will look like.

If you are the DIY kinda guy and have some decent tools in your garage, you can do this at home.

BTW, this box is designed to give +- .5 ft^3 of airspace to allow for the pioneer shallow mount sub.

If enough interest is shown, ill post up the full drawing package on how to build this box part by part.

its made to fit behind the rear drivers side seat.

 

This is exactly what im looking for. i needed a design for a pioneer shallow sub. Id love to get the dimensions on that box

 

looks alot like the taco tunes single sub box.

 

it's MDF material, right? do you need to remove the factory plastic or it goes over? can you put the rear seat back up?

lookin good. i designed a similar box on solidworks to fit on the drivers side between the compartment sides after gutting the center.

 

thats what mine looks like, but mine holds two 12s kicker cvt.
