There's always the brz06 swap...engine upgrade or not, its still the best handling front engine rear wheel drive car on the market for the price. I don't think there's too much to hate on...my .02 though

They are bad ass cars but who can say no to more power in a sports car? Idk I have heard they are under powered my only time spent driving was in and out of stalls at work so I can't really say.

Out of curiosity are there turbo/SC kits out for them yet?

theres a crap ton out. Fullblown Motorsports has had thiers up to 600+ whp with out blowin the motor for a while.

this car was never designed to be a speed demon. was designed for an awesome driving experience and it hit that goal perfectly.

So this has probably been asked before in this thread but, are you all happy with the FR-S over a tacoma?
I have a friend who said he would buy my tacoma if I ever wanted to sell, and I keep finding some decent deals on some new FR-S's around the area. Also really been looking at ft86club lately at the various threads on all of the modifications that can be done.

I was lucky enough to be able to keep my Tacoma, but as a daily driver I enjoy my BRZ much more. They are two completely different vehicles, so ask yourself if you need/use the room of a truck or want a fun/good commuter car. Also weather plays a big role.

I hear the FR-S and BRZ handle as well as some more expensive cars.

I had a '11 G37S with KW v3 coilovers, cross drilled rotors, enkei wheels... that thing was a beast. God, do I miss that car.

Thanks guys. My "friend" is actually a family member so the truck would stay in the family. Wish I could get both but that is not in the least bit practical for me at this point in life lol. The thing that bothers me the most is getting about 16-17 mpg around town with the tacoma and in my commute. As of now I've taken my truck offroad 0 times in 5 years, so it's just really a glorified mall crawler

Yeah with truck I get about 14-15 all the time and with the car it's anywhere between 28-34. So I get about 80 more miles on 8 less gallons. Both of mine require premium tho.

Haven't been here forever! How's everyone's Twin holding up?

I've done nothing to mine over the last 6 months or so...decided to dedicate some scratch to getting a UEL header and the OpenFlash Tablet. Header plus their E85 tune get push it up to 200whp! :woot:
