    love me some MTRs...

it'll be good to try out different tires...with a lot of overlanding trips planned, there will be a lot of miles thrown onto the tires quickly...so $$ definitely comes into play

Where are you getting the lights? I bought some but they're slightly too big to go where I want them to. 2x6 would be perfect.

E load on the Kooks are probably best as well given my heavy setup during trips

I wish I had flush mount lights like that instead I the rigid industries srm lights.

And with the stt problem??? Not proper forum discussion about the tires or about the process you went through trying to get them? Any reason why they wouldn't be as good a tire as I'm expecting them to be?

Not to throw another wrench at ya Bob - but I've run Duratracs, STT's, KM2's, MTRK's, Falkens, and Fierce Attitudes.

For what you describe (lots of miles, low cost), the Fierce are awesome tires! My favorite of the bunch. Best on the road (no louder than Duratracs) - and IMO better than all the rest off road. My favorite so far - regardless of cost.

Oh - for what it's worth, the STT's were my most hated tire!

not a fan of how the fierce look really...i know it sucks to say that...but when taking shots for magazines, looks do play a roll in decision making... why'd they have to put barbed wire on the sidewall...really?! :D

Ha! Yep. A shame they did that - and understand why it would deter folks. Takes away from how well they perform.

Although I will say I get more people on the trails asking about the Fierce than any other tire I had. And I always point out the barbed wire to explain why no one has 'em :)

These should be fairly inexpensive also - and very photogenic... :)

The barbed wire sidewalls ruined the fierce for me too... I really thought hard about them due to the results the guys who run them on the oil fields around here get.

If you cleared the 34" MTR's, odds are you'll clear any 315 (except MTR's).

Oh wait - you were running Duratracs. Bring the cutting tools - and some RTV!! :)

if i recall...i had some room left with the 34s too...so it shouldn't take much really

difference will be 4.5" BS versus the new 3.5" BS wheels..

tire height +0.7" and width +0.3"

so nothing too drastic...might have to trim back the cab mount a bit is what i'm thinking and some love taps with the hammer..

the 3.5" BS might require a bit of trimming on the upper metal fender to tuck all the way too..
