I am wearing the war paint for a little longer. I got 17mpg between Rudy's, all that wheeling, and back up to fort Collins. I was impressed.

Also, got the chip in my windshield fixed for free! :D

$6.00 at the carwash to make the outside more red, less brown.
A liberal application of degreaser on the plastic engine parts and 10 minutes with the garden hose and it looks clean again. I swore I was gong slow enough through the puddles to keep that crap off the but was not the case.

Mr. Optimist mentioned a while back about the mud stains left in the engine compartment, I used Bike Bright, sprayed it on, let it sit 10 minutes and the stains came right off.
Bike Bright is a motorcycle degreaser and cleaner. You can still see some brown stains on the side of the battery.
I didn't think to get before pics but it was all brown and muddy under here.

It also peeled off the "3400 four cam 24" engine sticker that was on the front
 But I saved it and will put it back on.

What mine looked like before I washed the engine. I am going to try that degreaser.

Mine wasn't that bad, not as much coverage but just as thick. We watched you slow down for the puddles to let the others get slightly ahead then romp on it, dude you sent muddy water 20+ feet off the trail, it was awesome.
Perhaps I should have put this in the BS thread? The mud came from the trip. Can the resident mod possibly move it or is it ok here?

I just sprayed off the chunks but the truck is still filthy. It will be there until this weekend at the soonest unless I go through an auto wash. But they never get a muddy truck clean.

    Haha. You found my "style"

I was slowing down so I could see how deep the puddles actually were. I actually went around a few. I think the mud flaps push it sideways, wonder what the truck would have looked like if I took them off!

Still looks like shit but at least the heavy stuff is gone. I'll give it a good wash and wax this weekend depending on the bipolar Colorado weather

No I'll ask the previous owner... I was thinking about that earlier today... Just apparently not hard enough to already have asked him. Lol

She looks kind of bored. But if she wasn't impressed that's ok, cause I wasn't trying to impress her.
