    Potentially yes. Hospitals employ tons of industrial engineers to help with discoveries like that.

    then these researchers, since they found the "how" to how pretty much all matter in the universe was created
    by extension

    will have found how the things that cured every disease we know how to cure came to be, and eventually will have discovered how the cure for cancer came to be :)

    Sure I guess if you want to get that technical. He went to the same school I go to. When an industrial engineer finds a new way to speed up the process of mixing mass amounts of chemicals, or designs a new system to produce products in a completely different way, and cancer can be cured because now they have the ability to cure it, the engineer did his job. Maybe one day 2 chemicals will be dumped together and poof, cancer is cured, but then an industrial engineer somewhere will get the task of getting it out to the public as safely and efficiently as possible.
