yea man no more passing ya in the morning on the way to the office...I'm in the police academy all week and range time will be saturday/sunday at the end of the month so keeping plenty busy.

When I ordered mine all I had to do was year make and model and it gave you the one you needed for each light

 

Any Pa. guys want in on a set of OEM 16" off road wheels for a spare? 2 are taken, 2 up for grabs. Looking at a set from Easton, about $60 a wheel. Great idea for a 5 tire rotation.

Nope. Supernrightled's site will give you every bulb right except for that one.

 

So I'm good for the mod day at Jay's. Seems like my leaf springs is going to be my project of choice.

 

I got 2 WLED-WHP5 for the map lights and a 3710-CWHP6 for the dome light.

I will always have a matching spare since my spare is on the tire carrier on my bumper, but I don't use it for rotations. I used to think 5 tire rotation was a good idea but it's actually not. Tires are only supposed to be used in one direction so passenger side stays passenger side and drivers side stays drivers side. Just swap front to back. And spare should only be used if one of the other tires fail. I you use 4 tires they will wear pretty evenly, if you throw a 5th into the mix the tires won't all wear at the same amount.

Something about the radial spinning in one direction all the time then if you put it on the other side it's spinning in the opposite direction and can damage the radial.

I thought that only directional tires needed to be concerned with spinning in the same direction. And since you're supposed to rotate tires every 5000-7500 miles anyway, the tread wear between the spare and the other tires should be almost negligible

Some people believe that even modern non-directional tires will pick up a directional bias after being driven in a certain direction. Enough that rotating them to go the opposite way could deteriorate their lifespan.

I choose to follow the rotational guidelines in the vehicle's manual.

 

Yea they make no mention of it, but I've seen a few other articles that agree the tires should stay on the same side.

What does the manual say about it?

 

Most of the stuff I'm finding says that back in the day, radial tires would have a rotational "set" once they were installed and put into use, and changing directions would be bad. Modern tire construction has eliminated that problem.

 

Rotate in the "x" pattern iirc

 

Mine says rotate front-back, so I do. If I get a car that says to cross sides I will.
