Okay fellas, I'm looking at this '01 xtracab Prerunner 4-cyl with 210k for $7000 and curious about the lift. It doesn't look factory height.

    Truck for sale

I love the way it looks but honestly I don't need a lift. Is this a bad daily truck to have due to this? I see blue springs in there.

I'm pretty sure those BFG's aren't the factory tire sizes either. Will it be a pig with the 4-cyl? Is 210k a deal breaker?

    Any other thoughts/observations?

    Thanks, all!

I was more after the 4-cylinder for simplicity and mpg. That, and I hate changing timing belts. :D

I was also trying to get a reg cab. This is bigger and heavier, yes.

And yes autotrader is odd. You have to clock their links twice.

then have a mechanic change it? if you're gonna lift and whatnot then your little 4cyl will be crying as it attempts to move bigger tires thru more drag.

extra cab is pretty much a reg cab plus storage. you ever tried to get someone to sit on the jump seats? they JUMP up and get out.

I usually have a rule about not buying modded stuff. I prefer to do it myself, plus you have no idea what the PO did to install it.

I don't want to lift it. It's lifted already.

But it looks like I have my answer. 4cyl and bigger tires/lift = not a good idea.

I have a similar philosophy on modded used cars. But finding a nice first gen is turning out to be a LOT harder than initially hoped.

I'm having to make concessions and extracab was one. I want a reg cab.

    Thanks for the replies.

I see blue coils. Looks more like fabtech blue rather than King. Maybe fabtech coil overs up front?

Looks like a sizable lift too. Definitely 3+ inches.
