What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

i did not have much room at all between the head light and washer fluid tank. like i’m talking 3 fingers, and i don’t have fat finger. I took the grill and head light housing out and all, start to finish took me 1.5h and that was my first time ever taking any of it off. i probably spent a good 30min or so finding the right bolt above the fog light and taking it out. what a PITA that bolt was, i did not put it back in!!


i did not have a shop vac with a small hose that i could even thing about trying to get it down in there, plus there was some in that small space under the blinker. could not take the washer fluid tank out because i did not have anything big enough to drain the washer fluid into.(it was probably 3/4 the way full.)

 

I always check. The dealer for Dodge where I took my dakota struggled with oil changes. I always check. Never had a problem at this Toyota dealer.

 

So you were busy doing something constructive that was actually making you more money per hour?

Or are you saying you just sat in the lounge doing nothing and your energy isn't worth the $38?

Because if time is truly valuable to you I suggest you buy filters and gaskets in 10pks shipped to your house then stock up on oil like I have. I don't drive to the dealer and back nor do I drive for oil or filters. Just change it in my yard and spend less time doing so then most spend driving to the dealer and while the oil is dripping I can easily swap front tires to the back.

Holy shit! Best idea ever! I need to do that for my wife's car. She broke her OEM gas cap recently and I couldn't make the old catch work on the new gas cap and she didn't like the idea of just sitting the gas cap on the trunk while fueling up.

 

2 small spilt rings..12" black fishing leader with swivel..drill small hole into hollow cap, and yer good...

It's not much but I'm very excited for my cabelas trail gear 2 floor mats made by weather tech.

 

I left mine on the toolbox and drove off one day. I thought back as to how I left that station and the next day went back to take a look. Yup, found it! As I made that right hand turn it slid off to the left and was in the bank parking lot on the yellow line of the parking spaces up against the curb. Been there for 24 hours and no bank employee even messed with it. But your idea would have prevented that, thanks for sharing.

 

Well I just changed the oil and greased the propeller shaft! In a little I'm gonna fix that auxiliary input as it has been going out on me following this video. Hopefully I'll also have time to give the truck a good cleaning too

 

I see the switches but they have so many different ones that's y I was asking smartass
