Frequent light primer strikes. Previous owner put a competition striker spring in it and I think he used a 9mm version. I replaced it with a Glock extra power spring which is supposed to work great for the M&P 45. Have not shot it since though. No one seems to make M&P 45 extra power or even factory striker springs. A striker assembly is a cool $55 from S&W or Brownell's.

Well that's a bummer, let us know how it turns out.
    How many BB's? I imagine only 2-4 could fit in a .410

This is why I'm always iffy about buying used guns. See on Calguns all these custom work and custom polish work, I wonder if a smith actually did it

Factory striker assembly is listed as $31 directly from Smith. There really isn't a need for an extra power striker spring on the M&P.

Went in to buy a Glock 19 but they didnt have any, ready to walk out I saw they had the Beretta 92fs on sale for 475. A deal I couldn't turn down, the size doesnt bother me since it's primarily for home defense; except when I go out to buy and sell cars to flip. Put 150 rounds in it and love it, steel guide rod and D spring mod and its perfect; except for needing a skeletonized hammer.

It's not - it's $55 from smith. I called them to buy one. If they sold a factory striker spring, I'd simply buy that. They only sell the striker assembly.

That's interesting. My armorer's price list for the M&P .40 shows it at $31 for the entire assembly. I guess they charge a $24 premium for the .45ACP?

Yup. Same price at Brownell's and a couple other boutique competition shops. Last I heard, Wolff wasn't even making the right 45 spring and supplying a 9mm striker spring with their uncaptured recoil spring assemblies.

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
Not trying to be negative Nancy, but a buddy had to send his new blackwater edition back to Mossberg for magazine tube and feeding issues. Just got it back last week and it still has problems. Sending out again today. I would like to have one. After researching the finicky nature of the 930 I'm becoming more willing to spend FNH money on a mk 1.

I read about that but for a steal of $500 brand new I couldn't pass it up. We will see how it functions. I'll post updates as soon as I can.

Having similar issues on my 535. If the tube is full, the recoil from the chambered shell makes the last shell in the tube jump over the retainer and it drops to the ground. From what I understand, with 3-1/2" shells, this causes a nasty jamb instead of just dropping a shell. I've tried dealing with Mossberg's customer service but they are absolutely terrible to say the least. When I get a chance, I'm taking it to a local gunsmith to have them fix it. Otherwise, I do really like it.

    Great deal! And please do.

This is similar to the issue he's having. At first, magazine would only take 5 shells due to the spring being kinked. It was also tossing an extra shell into the carrier when cycling. Waiting to see the outcome. Have had my eye on one for a while now.

I don't know about the spring issue, haven't heard that one. The issue of kicking an extra shell into the carrier while cycling or dropping shells is actually fairly easy to fix. All it takes is a little heat and bending the little foot out that holds the shells in place in the tube. That's the fix for the pump actions anyways, I'm guessing it's a similar issue for the autoloaders.
