What do you guys think of the treaty the usa signed with Ukraine to destroy their nuclear weapons about 20 years ago?

If we don't step in it might hurt our credibility with other countries and similar deals.

While I'm no W fan, he meant and did what he said. All you have to do is look to the red line in Syria to see what happened to our credibility. America has become the joke of the world over the last few years. Do you think the Russians would have laughed at sanctions by Reagan?

We benefit from either being there (probably you) & me still a little young (16 or so) but i still had eyes & ears & had many friends that were in country from '66 thru the evac. in the '70's..

I dont blame the younger guys here for what may be seen as a skewed view of what history was, as for us , we saw it being made...

I've read a couple of articles that state that almost 200 officers have been purged in the past 4-5 years. The US military isn't ready for another war ... especially with Russia.

If we do happen to go over to Ukraine they better open up the ROE since the Russians are going to be dug in and ready for whoever is dumb enough to show up

China has already stated that they side with Putin regarding Crimea even with the possibility of an armed conflict with the Ukrainian Military/Civilian supporters.

 

We could go there just to help out russia and keep the peace, fire some warning shots over peoples head like russian soldiers do.

Keep the peace and paint some x's on minorities doors with the russians.

Maybe even sink some crappy US ships blocking in Ukrainian ships. Ya know to keep the peace.
