not a fan of harleys at all. but the other day i saw the first harley i would ever own. i forget what it was now...but that thing was fucking beautiful looking! dont get me wrong though, that one is pretty cool looking

$50 a month isn't bad at all imo. Although I'm sure mine would be somewhere in the $100 range, which would be a no go....

 

The Iron 883 is a great bike. I test rode one and loved it. I had a sport bike at one point (had a bad accident on it and that ended it for me) as well as an older Harley bobber and definitely like the Harleys better. If you're just going to cruise, the Harley is the way to go.

 

Yeah, that's the problem. I don't know which I'd rather do. Go crazy fast and possibly kill myself. Or just cruise around and possible get bored with it. The more I think about it though, between the two I feel I'd be better off with a cruiser.

You won't get bored with the Iron 883. You can replace the cams and add an exhaust to start with and eventually slap a 1200 kit on it. A Sportster with a 1200 kit is nothing to sneeze at. It has an amazing power/weight ratio.

My '78 Iron Head Sportster was a 1000cc that was punched out a bit and that damn thing hauled ass!

You can find a nice used Iron 883 if you look hard enough. You can even get Harley to finance a used Harley that is being sold by a private party. Harley appraises the bike and you finance it through them. You do have to the difference between the seller's asking price and the price Harley assigns it.

Just depends on who you are. I almost always just do 5-10 above speed limit on the highway just to keep past the flow of traffic. Where some of my friends like to ride 100+ almost all the time. I dislike doing that so I don't, its as easy as that.

I think I've decided on getting an 883 when the truck is paid off. Drive the motortcycle as much as I can and drive the truck when it's cold....

 

883s are sweet. I'd definitely get one if I could. But I also want a GSXR or R1
