All my tsb work was free and they still washed it lol I was pissed too

 

Took the truck in for tsb springs the day after i went playing in the mud. Service guy said mechanic would touch it unless it was washed lol

The guy that works with grease and dirt and oil and all that other shit wont touch mud.. seems legit.

Should just told them you didnt want that princess to touch your truck anyways

 

I Don't blame him.

Most shops will charge extra when they have to work on cars that have recently been in mud, sand.

 

Seems dumb.. if they are gonna cover themselves in grease and dirt anyways

 

I don't blame them. i can't stand working on my own vehicle when it's dirty. I can't imagine how big of a pain in the ass someone elses dirty vehicle would be.

It also cost more in parts and takes longer (potentially). a truck that's got mud/dirt built up is lokely going to have bolts/nuts stripping out because the threads are all clogged. so you either risk damaging them and maybe having to cut/drill them out, and buy new ones, or the tech has to spend the time to clean each one before removing it. either way, it's costly.

That's the only time I wash the truck is when I have to work on it lol guess I'm a princess

 

Not when you're under the truck and a glob of mud falls on you lol

 

Or get in your eyes. That's what I hate. Sand and mud in the eyes sucks!

Here's a heads up, go check your battery tie down. I put in the pelfreybuilt battery cage yesterday and the J-bolt was very loose. It was loose to the point that when turned the socket wrench the hook came out of the retainer before the nut turned. I was probably one more good jolt away from having the battery walk around the engine bay.

 

Mines is tight, had to rig it on there but it's tight

 

Yeah, just telling everyone to take five seconds and go check it out.

Oh, and mines tight now too.
