Crazy guy with a gun in Birmingham

So apparently there's a suicidal guy w/ a gun on top of a parking deck in downtown Birmingham. I drive past this deck most days on the way home... It's just 2 blocks from my building.

There's not a line of sight from my office to the deck, but somebody tweeted this picture from a building right next to it.

The guy w/ the gun is in the red truck, but look at the vehicle the cops are behind...

 

I do believe the cops are hunkered down behind a 2nd gen dble cab. Toyota wins again!

 

Start that Taco up and push him off the deck!

 

This picture was actually taken by my college roommate's little brother, who is an attorney and works in an office that overlooks the deck... Looks to me like a Pre-Runner. Can't tell if it's a TRD.

 

Hats off to the police for doing tests on the Tacoma that Toyota never did. Im confident in both.

 

How are they supposed to do their job when they're distracted by such a beautiful truck?! ;-)

 

your college roommate's little brother must work for the same law firm my mom works for. she sent me a photo message earlier that looked a lot like that but from a slightly different angle as her office is up near the 35th floor.

 

If that was your truck, how freaking nervous would you be???

I honestly couldn't tell you what firm he works for... His brother and I are good buddies, but we're not.

 

Hopefully that DC came out of it better than the one that tried to catch the crashing news helicopter in Seattle the other day:
