I am new to truck mods and I want to put some LED lights on my 07 Taco. I haven't done that much research on it, but can I just buy a LED bulb and replace my normal bulb with the LED? Or do I have to buy a whole new front or tail LED light kit?

I was like you a couple weeks ago. I say take your time and do your research. Shop around for best price (price range is very wide for exactly the same thing) , And ask more specific questions here (or in other message boards) once you start your research. All the info you need is freely available. Start by going to led light dealers website and enter your vehicle type to see what is available for your truck. You can figure from there what you want to get. For me, I figured I only need to switch to led where it makes sense and is functional. Just replaced the map and dome lights and reverse lights (2 5smd map light, one 12smd dome light and a pair of 9 watt cree for reverse all for under $10). You don't have to change every single light to led.

    ebay.
I've had the old bulbs for years just fine, and waiting a few more days for delivery won't hurt. I do not see any reason to pay 10x more premium just to get the bulbs in 2 days and be given information that is already in the owner's manual or online. :)

while you are researching, consider getting hid instead.
    just the same, shop around.
I got hid headlight and fog from a guy in Fremont/Oakland area and happy with them. works well and very good price.
