WHY did you have to give him more ideas?! Now were gonna have to wait for him to draw it up and decide which he wants more... Buggy with tacoma body, or... Helicopter with tacoma body :p

All I care about is if they'd pass a U4 tech inspection.

You still have that frame? Maybe we could save it. You know, for the next build....

    :spy:

The body is the first thing that gives a vehicle character IMO. A buggy is born for off-road and is expected to perform exceptionally well. Personally, I find it more interesting when you take a stock vehicle and push its physical limits.

Plus, (it's a stretch at this point but) I still wanna drive this thing on the road.

welds look pretty good Jonathan. Looks like you could still turn up your heat just a bit for deeper penetration, but you're very close with that. Wire speed is a bit fast too, that's why you're getting a little bit of buildup rather than a weld the lays nice and flat.

Looks like you're using .030 wire? Have you tried .035?

But I'm getting nit-picky. Everything is looking good.

No no, PLEASE be nit-picky. I can't afford to have shitty welds on a cage.

I'm running a 210MVP on 115V and set at the '6' (out of 7) with wire speed ~23. Wire is .035, 75/25 mix gas. At around 20-21 on the wire speed seems too slow and starts running back into the nozzle. I was worried the voltage set at '7' would be too hot and start undercutting the tube but admittedly, I haven't tried it.

I'm wondering if it's technique too. I seem to get mixed up in regards to which direction I should be going with the puddle (clockwise/counter-clockwise) depending on the angle, plus my brain can't seem to decide to push or pull the puddle.

    Thanks for the help!

I would push the puddle since you aren't working with slag.

Jon, what you need to do now is turn it into a rock buggy, use the tacoma sheet metal for parts of the body, and leave it at that.
kinda like this but with a solid axle and tacoma badges.
