    I didn't see the kit you're talking about. This is the Camdo battery eliminator with some bulk dual conductor wire and the cigarette lighter adapter.

    Do you have a link to the kit you're talking about?

    It works just like it's supposed too. Plugged it in, turned the key to on, and turned the camera on just like it had a battery in it. Now I will have to worry about running out of memory and not battery.

    I filled my 64gb memory card in 3 days! :eek:

    How long did it take to come in? This would be nice, whenever my battery dies I'm too lazy or don' have time on the trail to change out the battery... Haha

    Ah, okay. Thanks! I'm thinking about just getting a waterproof plug connected to the battery and running it to the top corner under the engine bay for easy access....

    The plug that comes with the battery eliminator isn't waterproof so I used
    $14 Uxcell LJACC-067 Waterproof Connector Cable
    these. Cutting off the factory connection allows you to run the cable through the back of one of your cases.

    I plan on building a few more extension cables, one of which will tie directly to the battery. This one will allow me to experiment with different camera placements and help me decide if I need different cables.
