Today I installed All Pro 3" leaf springs with the longer (+1") shackles.. its a bit too much. I'm going to drill another hole in the shackles to get a little less lift. Can't do that until I source an 18mm drill bit which seems to be impossible to find locally.

To those who are running these springs - what shock setup are you running?

should have a 9-10'' shock most likely and bigger bump stops.

if you lifted the front some more you'd like it more.

Or, just go back to stock shackles. The springs will settle after some abuse with the RTT

If your close to a Home Depot you can get a 1/2" DeWalt drill bit. That's what I use for the 18 mm bolt holes. It's pretty close.

    1/2" is 12.7mm

Home depot has a 3/4" drill bit but its too big. They also have 5/8" which is too small

Do the stock shackles work with all pro springs?

I feel like I'm sliding down my driver seat!

Yes they do. Im running 3" standard all pro and stock shackle. Would like some stinkbug stance though..need some weight up front or another inch or so in the rear...

Edit, maybe he meant 18mm bolt head?..

I just made new brackets for my bumper and the original bolts were 18 mm bolts. Some of them were striped so I replaced them with 1/2 bolts. Both bolts fit in the same hole. But just take the bolt you need to the store and compare to some standard bit. Pretty sure you'll fine something.

Nice. I'll be the only pre 98 taco with bolt on BAMF sliders lol. Apparently the frame changed from 97 to 98 and I had to take them back to him and he fixed em for me.

With the Bro-lean i'm rocking right now i can only see a few car lengths behind me in the rearview mirror (on a flat road)
And level won't work for when i put the shell on, or when i've got something in the bed, or if i'm towing.

Agreed but would still prefer level if possible.

I can go either way depending on what side of the bed I wake up. Nothing wrong with a little bro lean now and then:crapstorm:
