I know that's what your buddy mentioned about it being an "abrasive" but is there any info supporting this claim? Not that i doubt you, cause you are always spot on, but with so many people using it i don't see how they can claim that. Is there any info to support that it actually damages the engine or is it more just reports from people who likely didn't know how to use the product safely and damaged their own engine?

 

While on the topic, how much redline fuel additive do you run in a tank?

 

I'll talk to Locuriorunner. he's an engineer at a company/lab that does all kinds of automotive application testing and cunsulting, including chemicals like that.. i'll see if he is allowed to release their data/test results. in addition to very sternly saying never to use seafom, he also said that the only additive worth any kind of money is the redline stuff chris is talking about.

That's what i'm PMing him about. i know he has the facts, i'm just not sure if he can legally distribute them since they are the intellectual property of his company, and whoever paid them to do the tests.

While i have your attention, how many aal's do you believe we can safely add? I already have the 1, but will be getting my hands on another pair soon and figured i should be able to add them and possibly remove my blocks if they give me the needed lift. But how many can people actually add? I've always kinda wondered.

 

of a single length, only one. if you have more than one, they need to be varried lengths, like the wheelers and icon 3 leaf AAL packs. now, if you really wanted to get into it, you could cut extra AALs down to the needed length. if you go this route, let me know, and i'll go over where, and how to cut them. you also have to verify that the retaining clips on the stock pack have room for the leafs you want to put in.

bottom line though, is that you can't jsut buy a second AAL and stack it right underr the existing one. you're better off with blocks at that point.

i used the whole bottle. i just can't remember if it was a full talnk or not. it doesn't give you a per gallon of fuel ratio? i thougth it did, but i could be wrong...

No ratio, that's why I was rather confused. I'll throw it in on a full tank on the way to the mountains tomorrow.

 

Soooo. I almost got my first trespassing warrant against me today. Went to lunch with my advisor and my hourly and hit my lake Mary spot on the way back to work. My advisor happened to ask if I've been messed with before for being back there and i said no. Sure enough as we turn the corner to leave there's a lake Mary PD parked blocking the exit.

Turns out he wasn't there for any reason other than lunch. He informed me it was private property and that he was to trespass anyone he found back there. He told me since he was starting his lunch i could go. Thanks goodness for that.
