    Found this !
What the hell could I have hit?!
Shock mount is pitted, anodized blue stripped off, shock shaft pitted as is leading side of shock body. Drivers side leading dude of axle has the paint stripped and has rusted in about a 10" patch as well.
Trailing side of these spots are fine.

I'm in socal with no snow or salt. The rest of the axle, rear diff and entire underside is fine with no corrosion !

This is normal wear an tear, I pitted my passenger side Icon shaft, solution is to run boots on shocks that have an exposed shaft, especially if it is facing the front. If you think about it your front tires are constantly kicking up gravel/road debris up and some of that is inevitably going to contact the rear front facing components. Rebuilding the shocks and running the ugly rubber boots is what I've resulted to to protect my shocks.

Sup fellas. Been super busy with work lately. Overtime. So I havent been able to change my oil yet. I have conventional oil so the interval is 5000 miles. Currently though I'm at 5400ish miles. Plan to do it this weekend. Do u guys think going over the recommended interval will damage the engine in anyway?

Your good, for the most part its more of a recomendation then needed, my old truck I would change every 10k which i know they say its not good but the oil was so clean i felt like it was a waste.

Andrew, Love'in the retro fogs! I inquired to TRS (which you responded...lol) about some and I guess they are still in works. Do you know by chance when they might go public (ETA)?

Tried again to silence the vibe after lifting the rear. Initially I went under and the CB was not square with the shaft so I lined it up and it got a little better. I tried lowering the CB a 1/4" or so and initially I thought it got better but I noticed the vibe was getting worse again. Last night I flipped the CB 180° and now it's much much smoother than it was. The u-joints are greased at every oil change and just to make sure, I re-greased them. It's only been 3000 miles since I last changed the oil.

    acid?

    sandblasted?

    stoneblasted?

after 4 years with Kings in the salt belt I have zero issues like that. I also do not wheel in gravel.

Def looks like you drove through something caustic on the road to cause that. That sucks, but hopefully recoverable...

Mounted my Streamlight Poly overhead where the door opener goes. The Mag Lite C cell brackets fit perfect/ it looks like it blocks the mirror, but even with the relocation bracket installed, when sitting down the view is clear. I did have to face the light in the opposite direction.
