    Until we went wheeling I never knew they had to be tuned and I dont know if anyone had a SWR meter during the trip.
    As for the antenna, it has a magnetic base, I dont know alot about any of this stuff.
    I also have a military antenna with the spring base, I just dont have a mount for it and dont know anyone who welds to make me one.

    I'm in class learning to weld right now. I'll be learning MIG just before Moab. Maybe if you don't already have one I can hook ya up. But my main focus is sliders and rear bumper.

    though the problem would arise in that welders work best on 220v and unless you have a place to plug into... you'd have to come to me. but for a bracket... I'm sure something could be worked out easy enough
