    How did you verify it actually went to 4wd when you put it in 4low? With the push button 4wd (non-j sick), when you push the lever forward, that part is manual and not electric. You are physically changing gear ratio in the xfer case. So the fact that it changes gear ratio, doesn't really mean it's in 4wd.

    With the button/stick combo, all that is needed for 4Hi is to press the button and it is supposed to engage. Then to get 4Lo, you leave the button in and move the shifter to Low. So I would think its a button issue but due to the fact that 4Lo works, I'm stumped

    Hmm well I jus have the standar j shifter so not to sure about the button one. So when it's just in 4hi you press button in nothing happens then (leaving the button pressed in) you physically shift it into 4lo and it all of a sudden engages?

    Unfortunately that doesn't mean 4wd. Just means the xfer case is engaged.
    Check the front diff. I'm assuming you have the vacuum ADD front differential? There is a electrical plug and two vacuum lines on the top of the front diff (the thinner one is just a breather though). I'd start with the lines and plug and make sure it's all connected.

    I'd also suggest you jack up the truck on all 4's so you can see what's spinning and what's not in 4 hi/low. Otherwise we're just shotgun troubleshooting here.

    I bought a cheap eBay headlight and it is junk. It wobbles even though the mounts are tight. I ended up swapping the lens with the factory headlight so it wasn't foggy and yellow.
