1.5" Wheel spacers all around, 2.0 fox coil over with foxes in the back to match it up, add a leaf. 285/70/r16 general grabbers. my magnaflow exhaust k&n intake just threw in some maxtrac spindles. Total chaos UPA. Bunch of other little things
Hhaha. That's funny. Honestly I'd prolly be dead if not for the wife

You guys should get a tune up or something. This isn't the first time i've heard you guys complaining that your RC 4cyl can't even maintain speed.

cruising at 2600 rpm in 5th on the highway has the power for 95% of the hills. the others i just drop into 4th and had no trouble. even my mustang needs to drop a gear for those hills.

Like i said before i ran on the back door of a 4cyl class benz from a stop. not too shabby for what it is, how many miles on your trucks?

Also most v8's from the late 70s and 80s were doing good if they made over 200 hp

So we might beat some caprice's and vista cruisers

Yeah, I only have 70k on the truck pretty sure it's got as much power as any other stock 2.7

Bigger tires and a lift make a huge difference when driving in the wind. On a normal day it's fine on the highway, start getting some gusts and add hills in... Kiss your mileage goodbye and good luck maintaining speed.

Do headers make that much of a difference? What kind do you have and does it sound funky?

Before my tacoma I had a 85 full size blazer with a 305, rated at 170 hp. Probably a little slower than my toyota. It ran really well too.

Singlecabguy you have a tooter spacer and header right?

Yea the aero would change a little, why not start over and do the baseline with 35s, go through the traps in 2nd gear haha.

not carried away. if i can keep up with any new MB its impressive.

you do know 1/4 mile won't even slightly reflect the scenario that i mentioned? these trucks hit a brick wall at 70...
i said from a dead stop... prob to about the top of second gear.

I thought the 1320 was from a dead stop :D

Sorry for being a smart ass but the bottom line is these trucks aren't quick. No two ways about it. I love my truck as much as any of you, it's a lot if things but fast isn't one if them.

    Oversized tires will do that.

Worst thing I ever did to my '94 was hang '31s on it.

My 5-lug has plenty of shit and git.

    lol :headbang:

    maybe its a 5-lug thing.

i do know the front undercarriage doesnt hang as low on a 5lug as it does on prerunners and 4x4, plus and drag from the drivetrain.
