    Thanks Brett!

I don't DD it anymore now that I have the wagon. I did however drive the truck to work today because of the snow amount. The tires suck real bad on icy roads. Especially with my size of truck and weight. I'm not to sure about a heavier second gen, but from what I've heard they still suck hahaha. 4wd is a must in these conditions.

Sounds like the mtzs, I don't dd mine either but have done a couple of trips to BC during storms this winter and had some "interesting" moments haha

Just pulled the trigger on some mtrs for this summer so pretty excited to hack up my truck to fit them and get it out on some trails.

I think 90% of us up here hate it to, but when you get wheelin trips in when the snows 3 plus feet deep and every inch of the trail is a fight...you stop saying this blows and start sayin WOOOOOOO really really loud:D

Other than that the snow can bugger off haha

Picked up a mud flap ticket today, so I decided to do something about it. I used a piece of 1"x1"x64" square tube. And some 12" x 24" double stitched conveyer belt. I welded the tube to an old steel receiver hitch that I had. Turned out pretty bad ass. Just have to paint the tube. They just flop around in the wind going down the highway :p

How much was the ticket? Vested interest as I might be in the same situation this summer up here in Edmonton

It was only $57. But he could have given me a ticket for all 4 tires not having them. So that'd be 57x4 tires. Not cool.....

He said because of the sliders being there the fronts didn't really matter as much. He was more concerned about the rear. I just nodded and said yes officer. Nice fella...

The officer said this year highway patrol and Calgary city police are going to be cracking down on it hard. With no exceptions :(

Went and played around in some rocks this morning. Not gonna lie...bobbed box has by far been the best thing that has happened to the truck. Departure angle is awesome. Very happy with the sliders as well. Put them to the test before Moab.

This is the spot that fucked my door and extra cab last time....

    Revenge

Is probably a good 2ft drop on the passenger side..

And as you can see the slider kept the truck well away from the rock

I have a video going up this spot to, just waiting for it to upload. It was more of a bump, smash slider and carry momentum to get up. Slippery snow doesn't help either

    Here's the video...
You can really see how the rear locker works when it's not engaged. You can hear it ratcheting, then as soon as you put pressure or weight on the pucks it locks. Very good example of where open diffs can fuck you and leave you stranded.

Yea, that all depends on how good of a mood they are in that day. They can ticket you for each tire not having a mudflap. Which would be pricy.

I give her a wash after every drive!! No matter what haha

i hear ya, i've met some very kind officers and some well, not so friendly officers. i always worry i'll get pulled over driving around police for no flaps but i guess my tires haven't thrown any rocks at their windshields so far thank goodness

that's awesome haha, looks really sharp!
