Alright, well pops upgraded the tires on his FJ last week while I was in Texas. Put some bfg a/t's on it. So I think this weekend we will go test Yankee to see how deep it is. I've heard the snow banks from plow trucks on main roads are too tall to get past into the trails.

Let us know how it is. After this weekend I should be good to go in either of the Jeeps. Toyota is still has a long ways to go before it is ready.

When do you plan to go? I'm interested in going for a little trail run.

We will do a practice run Saturday or Sunday. And after I see the trails I'll let you guys know the condition and we can plan a run.

I am guessing the DNR never made it back there to clear trees from the last ice storm so it might not be drive-able trails. Going over them would be a big deal but there's were 2 sections with a large tree suspended only 3 feet or so off the ground.

Does anyone know of an alignment shop in the SE MI area who are brave enough and knowledgeable to do my front end with OME 885s? everywhere I go they say: Oh sorry it's got a lift we don't mess with them... everything is new, hardware, weld-in cam guides, control arms all 4.. so there is no reason to just jump in....

    thanks

My buddy's shop (Gary's Safety Center) would do it in a heartbeat but I am up in Bay City. He has always been able to do my alignments.

Dan's brother owns Suspension Maxx that does the torsion bar lifts. Good bunch of guys. They are the go-to shop around here if you have a lifted truck.

I took mine to good year and didn't have any issues about my lift. Make sure you ask for a spec sheet cause they won't print one unless you ask.

I went to the one in canton on Sheldon but I don't recommend them. They were rude and didn't print me a sheet of the before and after. Good year is a chain so I figure you can go to any location and they can take care of you.

Update: I had Jourdan's Auto in Ann Arbor align my truck, with OME 885s and Dakars in the rear. The results are damn near perfect! I asked for 0 degrees camber and got it with little to no pulling (which is impossible here with shit truck-rut highways), but feels great with perfect caster :)

Two previous shops (won't name) claim there is something wrong with passenger side (claiming previous accident, I bought it new only rear bumper is dented). But I just put new Toyota LCAs to replace the shit 6- month old Mevotech's (rockauto stuff) that I just threw away, suspecting them for not being build right...

My dad complained when I bought my first one. I didn't know Texas was another country! Enjoy your Tacoma. It won't be so alone out in AZ. I saw them all over the place when I was in PhoenixApache Junction last year.

Any of you fellas around the Ann Arbor area? I'll be moving there in July for the lady to go to school. Just looking for some direction on where I might want to be living.

    Sounds like fun.

Stock wheels from my 13 should fit an 01 right? Trying to sell my factory wheels right now.

They fit, but there is alot more backspacing than an 01 stock wheel would be. Might need to run spacers depending on the tire size.
