So somehow, I blew a quarter-sized hole in the boot that covers the rear driveshaft slipjoint in my 2011 driveshaft. Just driving down the freeway.

So now I'm looking for a new boot. Haven't looked into if a new one is available (dealer or otherwise), 'cuz I'm pretty sure I'm going to be told I have to buy the whole damn DS. I'm pretty sure someone on TW has swapped their DS out for a one-piece, and has this part laying around.

Anyone got that boot they would be willing to part with? I'll take the clamps, too, if you can get them off without fuss.

    Thanks in advance!

this part would be cheep to order and clamps will be destroyed to remove the boot so you will need those to.it will be a special order at the dealer as they don't stock this normally.

I think DSM just started carrying the boots. I saw a posting recently about it but I can't find it at the moment.

Checked yesterday. No separate part number for the boot, which means it's part of the DS. :(

Anyone upgrade to a single shaft that would be willing to send me their old boot and clamps? (Oeticker clamps can be reusable, provided the removal was clean and damage-free, and the person knows what they're doing).

I know this is on the front shaft but it has some good info on how and were to find the parts you need. And toyota parts guys are not always good at getting parts as they only go by what they no or the computer tells them and there mechanics just normally replace parts as a whole and don't rebuild much of anything. Not saying that they are bad mechanics they just go for production.

    Holy thread revival!

I found what I was looking for at a local driveline shop ...............as mentioned in the post directly above your question...................

Or shop online. Measure the diameters on each end (they're different), measure the length, and punch in search terms. Or find the Spicer part number molded into one end of your existing boot.
