Thanks for the tips! Dealer just offered $33,206+taxes for a DCLB V6 4x4 Sport in the color I really want. MSRP is $34,410. Is this a good price or should I offer something lower?

Depends on location and how desperate a dealership wants to sell you the vehicle. Wait till the 31st as its the end of the month and end of the quarter they will drop the price. Around here within a 300 mile radius no dealership would budge much. But I paid 31,200 plus ttl and I think 700 under invoice is great. If its worth it to you do but you can get considerably less on that price. I had some try $500 over invoice, some $200 under invoice and finally got a guy to the price I felt was worth it.

Yea I'm definitely shooting for something under invoice. Is $31,200 you paid for a DCLB 4x4 V6 Sport? You said it comes in on April 21. Is that a special order or the dealer doing a trade with another dealer? The reason I'm asking cuz the dealer I'm talking to is doing a trade with their "sister dealership" Not really sure if that means they'll try to charge more for the truck LOL

Seems to have the "shopping cart magnet" modification installed.
I just used a website called truecar.com which is something that the company I work for has on their employee website.

    I punched in the following:
2014 Tacoma Access Cab V6 - Spruce Mica
    Carpet Maps $0
    SR5 Extra Value Package $1735
Entune Audio Plus with SR package $730
    V6 Tow Package $650

    MSRP Base $26,785
    options $3115
    destination fee $860
    regional fees $65
    total MSRP 30,925

    Estimated dealer price $28,785
    Admin fees - $595
my price would be - $29,380 plus tax... doesn't seem that great compared to what I've seen on here!

I just joined this Tacoma site tonight, so thanks for having me! I will be picking up a 2014
TRD Sport V6 access cab 4x4 in very nice Spruce Green Mica tomorrow afternoon.
I paid $30,600. The truck has the entune bundle for $680 and the TRD Sport value package for $3575, the V6 tow package and carpeted floor mats and door sill protectors. Racked my weary brain for many weeks choosing between the new Tundra, an older Tundra, or a new Tacoma. I am stoked that I made the right decision! Thanks for hearing me out. -Rob ps: the truck has the automatic tranny.

Nice deal! What was the secret of getting the dealer down to that price?

I mistakenly omitted the fact that that price didn't include taxes and tags. I apologize for that. I did think that was a fair price....sticker is 32,400.

Mine is a DCSB not LB. Yes V6 Sport 4x4. Mine was not a special order it was one available that no dealerships had claimed yet. I didn't trade anything just had 5 dealerships looking at the same truck and the one who gave me the best price I signed papers with. I paid $700 under invoice w/ out the Toyoguard as all that is is road side service etc. which I have w/ my insurance company.

    About $1500 off sticker on a DCSB 4 X 4.
After buying Chevy trucks with $8 and $10k off, I felt suckered.

The nice part is once the paper plate comes off, nobody cares what you paid.
    As long as your happy.............
I normally won't tell what I paid or lie about it.
9 out of 10 people will always tell you "They got a better deal", "They could have gotten you a better deal" or "They know somebody who............"

Hi Sky. A very funny and quick story about how I was able to purchase the truck for that price. Little did I know that the dealership had the wrong CO from another dealer that they had swapped vehicles with last week and listed the MSRP at 31400. My truck was stickered at 32400. The other dealer screwed things for my dealership but they honored the deal we made. I really did think I was doing a bit better than all the other prices I received locally. Now I know why! Found all this out when I took delivery a few hours ago. Overall, $1800 off of MSRP. Couldn't be happier. Funnier still, traded a 2012 Impala LTZ in for this green beauty. I couldn't tell you exactly why I went from a Tundra to a Impala! Ha Ha! Glad I am back in the Toyota family!! -Rob

    oil change...

Sticker price on GM products is a joke. I think they mark up the sticker just to be able to give you a "discount" to make you think you're getting a good deal.

Plus when you drive the toyota off the lot it doesn't depreciate much at all. Used tacomas and tundras sell for about the same as they are new.

New here, you guys provide a ton of helpful info. I hope to provide the same once I actually buy my truck.

On the 2014 Access Cab v6 off-road I am looking at, sticker price is $32,910. Dealer offered $32,071. "Target price" on truecar is $31,524. How much lower (realistically) can I go? I know invoice is $30,809....

So was was my price of $34.400 out the door taxs and all, and with having the windows tinted, and the TRD exhaust installed a bad price?

2014 TRD off road DCSB with entune and all that other crap. I think they cal it the elite package..

I thought I got a good deal, but after reading some of this I wonder now. LOL!!
