yeah.. i need to find my jackstands.. i have a set of four.. but the other two are MIA

 

Use two stands on the rear and the jack on the front.

 

i could do that.. but im afraid somebody stole my jackstands..... my dad had a full toolbox stolen a few years ago.... that and there more than just a rotation that needs to be done, i think i need pads soon, and the rotors may need some work too.

Also, anybody have any ideas? i had a temp fix for the rattling heat shield on my driver side with SS straps, but they wont tighten any more and its started rattling again

I'm buying the ebc stage 5 kit when my pads finally die. Only about 1/3 life left on them.

When heat shields rattle, i usually just rip part of them off but i wouldn't recommend it. Is i the heat shield on the muffler or one against the body?

 

its the driver side cat. its attached to the cat itself i think. i was thinking maybe hit it with a welder in a few spots and call it a day, but i think the vibrations would break the welds after a while.

yeah. we ended up selling the suburban we had because of that toolbox, it literally had ALL the tools in it... we didn't have the cash to replace the tools and finish that truck... it was one of the older ones, thing was awsome

 

I wouldn't weld it. Its supposed to just bolt over it. Did it just come loose?

 

huh... its not movable with my hand.. but the bolts on mine are rusted to hell...

Start by cutting the excess off of your clamps dude....they'll flop around and rattle too lol

 

what to cut it with? i dont think wire cutters will even touch it ,and i dont have tin snips anymore

It'd have to be an ecoboost and be HEAVILY discounted before i would consider it. But that is just me.
