I done googled that for you... The answer is yes. The La Sal mountains blow my mind every time. It's crazy how the environment changes in such a short distance. Bone dry desert to lush mountains in just 30 miles.

Yeah I got one hell of a ride. Sconnie is right on the money with mileage. 2800 miles just getting to and from. It's not a cheap trip. Had a few guys come from the east coast last year. Doesn't get much further than that.

That's not too bad. A few years ago I rode my Harley 3920 miles round trip, from Colorado to Massachusetts and back. By the way I don't recommend doing that on a bike, AT ALL.

i did niagara falls to orlando and back in four days on my R6 in july 09. i got 13 miles from 1000 in 24h before rain in SC forced me off the road. i didnt realize it until the morning... or that had i continued on i might have been involved in a serious multi-vehicle accident on a flooded section of the highway.

i made a trip from LA to SLC and back on my 1000RR in 2012, but i dont think ill be doing many more long trips on sport bikes. im getting too old for this shit!

i would LOVE a dual sport to go play around in moab though. im still too pussy for a full out dirt bike.

Hardcore when you look back at it and are under 30... F*n Cold when you're doing it... and F*n stupid when you look back and you're over 30 LOL...

    course I did it when I was 32... so:crazy:

Yeah I sold my 600RR for my DRZ400... so much more fun... proved the age old saying "more fun to ride a slow bike fast, than a fast bike slow" time and time again. put 25,000 miles on the DRZ in the first year... compare that to 7000 on my RR the year before.

I did an Iron butt from Vanhorn, TX to Biloxi Ms... 1,100 some odd miles... KICKED MY A$$... never again

i dont want to get too far off topic... i have permanent nerve damage in a few of my fingers from being "hardcore" and riding through winter in western ny. i saw 6F once, i regularly ride 10 months out of the year... but on a sport bike in <40F it starts to hurt a bit. maybe its time for a rolling couch and heated grips or something. the DRZ was/ is an option of mine along with the huskys. you bringing the bike to moab with you? maybe ill try and bribe you for a little joyride.
