Bedside Bottle Opener hardware

I just got thirsty, time to head to the fridge for an Amarillo Pale. Costco is starting to carry cases of Orange Wheat around here, but for everything else we gotta hop in the plane for a beer run.


I was up working in Bellingham, WA for a few weeks and became a fan of the Kulshan Brewery. No BS, just good beer... Hit up the Moab Brewery while working up there, stuck with the canned goodness. Making near-beer out of a good brown, red or pale ale is just plain wrong. Lived on Abita while down in Lousiana. I just liked hearing the cute (female) bartenders say "Would you like another Andy Gator?" with their southern accent.

Mmmmm Beeer.

 

Three years ago, I'd walk into Bevmo and ask about H24... the response was often "Truck came this morning, we're already sold out"
Sometimes there would be one or two 6-packs left of either Orange Wheat or IPA, rarely both.

Now, Bevmo always seems to have them in stock, and they are starting to appear in some grocery stores.

Sweet im loving the collar one. Have him make one that says TACOMA I don't think that word would be copyright like Toyota. Im willing to bet there would be a decent market for bumper mount and bed mount openers.

Super easy. Took about 20 min.

I popped out the taillight, drilled holes, and used nylon lock nuts.

 

I mounted mine with rivets. Solid as ever. When I grab and shake it the whole truck rocks.

Here is mine. Super easy, I'd tape it with masking first next time so no touch up would be needed.

I spend a lot of time in Canada. I think it's easier for them to use twist off caps instead of having to learn how to use a bottle opener every time.

 

I didn't even make it to page 2 before I ordered a powdercoated black opener, it'll be here in the next few days.

Protips: if you're drilling into the metal paint it before you install. And use loctite or something along those lines.

Just mounted my Yeti opener. Replaced the provided screws with stainless bolts, washer, nuts. Also put washers between opener and bed.

 

Oooh, that Yeti opener looks nice and beefy!
