This is what a Long Bed looks like....A Tacoma has a small and normal bed.

Both the reg cab and double cab come in short and long version boxes. The crew cab (full front and rear doors) only comes in a short box version.

Years ago, before the Tacoma, there was a long bed version for both the 2 wh and 4 wh drive trucks but obviously no 4 door version in the U.S. It was available though in the third world countries in the hi lux version with a short box.

Somehow the lines make it look 10' long. Where i grew up in the country 8' was the rule, not so good in town imo. Hmm 2011 doublecab with access cab added + 10' bed....

it does look odd, but i bet there a lot of folks that could need that bed length, usually when you need a bed that long, you need a work truck and you dont care that much about looks...

I seen a triple cab long bed truck the other day. not a Toyota but real, real long. holds 6 people with an 8' bed

my mom owns a F350 supercrew kingranch with the 8 foot bed, with the huge four doors it looks proportionate but it is fawking huge

i think the best 8 foot bed on a truck would be a f250 crew cab long bed we the superdutys all other trucks just look weird

Yep, Ford seems to be able to make a proportionate looking truck no matter the cab/bed combo.

its the lack of lines differentiating the cab from the bed. So it all flows into looking like one big fawking missle instead of a truck. Ford does a good job by accenting the fenders on the rear tires and the flow between the front.

 

There's one of those in Phoenix, it's huge.

I assumed it was a mod'd truck. Did they come like that from the factory?

 

I had an 8' bed on a half ton GMC Sierra single cab. Was great for hauling stuff, especially 8' x 4' sheet material from Home Depot. Back end was a bit skittish in the dirt
