Have a good alternator and second battery is the cure. And understand how much power your are actually going to be drawing.

Long as you use correct wire sizes, correct fusing practice, wire looming and routing, you'll probably be fine.

Also depends on what you end up running.

Which will hopefully be the next major step in my build. Some day I'll catch up to what you have now Monte! But by then you'll probably be LT

Just don't be stupid and run a winch at idle or without the truck running :D

Wait aren't you going to college along these lines?

Not everyone is proficient at wiring or reading schematics;)

Hit a large hunk of 4x4 on the highway last night going 70 :(

Was changing lanes and didn't see it until it was too late. There was a loud ass bang, the truck bounced violently and scared the crap outa the kids. No idiot lights came on, no vibrations and the steering was still true so I didn't stop for another 50 miles (didn't want to be under the truck with a flashlight on the side of the highway in the dark).

I'll check it over good this morning but holy hell. If I were in a car, it would've completely wrecked it. Heck, at the angle I hit it a solid front axle could've flipped me in it ditch (and I love solid axles). The IFS kept the driver side wheel tracking true and never lost control.

What do you mean by "large hunk of 4x4"? An axle housing?

Haha well the first time I read it, without actually opening it on tapatalk, my first reaction was that he switched lanes and hit a lifted Chevy or something lol so don't feel too bad

Pretty much stock with some crap welded to it.
Got around to working on my dent yesterday, I think it turned out pretty good.

Don't feel bad. I was trying to figure out what was meant as well. Dredged up a memory of a semi losing a driveshaft out on I-10 in Tucson many moons ago. It punctured the fuel tank in the process. Diesel was everywhere. I took the next exit and a sheriff's car just happened to be sitting at the traffic light at the bottom of the off-ramp. They were not happy after I relayed my story.

Sorry about that. I was still half asleep when I wrote it. I started a new thread on it and posted a pic.
