    ^^ This ^^

The total weight of the bags is probably 40 lbs. The rack is sturdy but I wouldn't mount a spare tire on them. The weak link in the system is the cleats that it mounts too. The rack itself is strong and doesn't move but I wouldn't trust more than 100 lbs on top of the cleats even spread out.

That said... For my intended use it is perfect.

We'll try. This is what we woke up too. Pikes Peak is in there somewhere lol.

Today was actually just going to be exploring the town getting ideas if you know what I mean. Good thing too... 21* with wind gusts of 35. We'll play it by ear tomorrow as to when we leave. We aren't scheduled to be in Durango until Tues.

We stayed at a ranch outside of Lake City and started from there once and it was nice.

It is actually easier and faster to start and travel Northwest out of Silverton to Animas Forks. It is a beautiful drive. You can move the map below around and see what I mean.

Here is a good place to start.

Here is a good Topo Map of the area.

Poughkeepsie Gulch is relatively difficult. Extremely steep downhills and a rock garden that goes for quite a while. Quite honestly I didn't really enjoy that portion of the loop and would skip it if I were to do it again. Everything else is beautiful.

This is an awesome pic! These are the types of photos that I imagine would make great paintings, keep up the good work.

Honestly Poughkeepsie Gulch really wasn't that scenic. It had some nice spots but the trial down to Poughkeepsie Gulch was much nicer.

Did you complete the loop from Imogene Pass through Ouray & over Red Mtn. Pass then back down trail beside Bridal Veil Falls into the backside of Telluride ?

Went to Vail Lake and did some fishing today. Did a little off-roading while I was at it.

A camping trip not too long ago. No mountains in this shot, but I was in the Rampart Range part of the Rockies and Pikes Peak is somewhere further south.

This is just on the highway in Idaho, stopped at some construction. Turned out to be kind of a cool shot.
