Should be ok, the bumper plates are flat and mount to the outside of the frame using the 5 bolts you see in your pictures.

    EDIT:
It will be important to mock your bumper up when installing the ensure it sits straight in case the frame is tweaked. Worst case you will need to elongate the mounting holes to compensate for frame issues. There is quite a bit of adjustment on the mounts however so you should be in good shape.

Thanks Tyler. The only other issue I will have is getting more money out of the insurance. I want to add more Pelfreybuilt to my truck so I need more $$$$

Hey Tyler, any plans for something similar on a 1st gen? If so, I'd definitely be interested.

Really trying to find the time to get some first gen stuff going but we just haven't been able to do so yet.

Could I get an update on my bumper Tyler? Been almost a month since ordering, I'm getting anxious :D

Still on track for a late May / early June delivery?

Still on track, yours is cut and formed. It needs weld and grind and the gate. Obviously a good way off but in the mix. There are 6-7 rears in your group that will all get welded and ground together in the next few weeks.

By the way, is there a way to lock the swingout in the closed position? Doubt it but just curious if there was a way to lock it so no one could open the tailgate that I didn't want opening it...

Not currently, a hole could be added for a lock or maybe a locking pin instead of the standard pull pin, I'll look into that.

Is there a way to mount a Hi-Lift to the swing out Tyler? I don't know if I'm too late to have you add a mount, but I was just curious.

Maybe similar to this location or even at the bottom of the gate, on the outside?

We typically put them on the bottom of the gate. because of the way the jack sits on the gate its best if the hinge is on the drivers side however. The foot of the jack will hang down a bit if we were to add it to yours. We can do that, your call.

Hang down over the actual bumper? Do you happen to have any pictures of this setup?

Also, how long is the gate? Would a 60'' fit?

A 60" may likely interfere with the latch, its a touch long. I dont have any pictures unfortunately. Basically it bolt into the bottom of the gate but since your hinge is on the passenger side the foot of the jack has to hang down rather than point up. It hangs in front of the bumper.

Hmm ok. How much do you think it would hang over? And would this add any additional cost?

It will hang over the amount of the foot that is on the jack (4-6" or so) its $50.00 to add the mounts

I think I will stick with my original plan of mounting to my eventual BajaRack. Thanks for responding though Tyler, I appreciate it.

Please take hundreds of pictures! ;)
