Theres a few guys here locally that can dial in your CB w/meter.. Have you thought about VHF 2m radio in addition to CB ?? Erik (SoCaltaco65) hooked me up with a Kenwood vhf 2 meter, more pleased I could not be, really nice talking to guys 40 miles out, with unbelieveable clarity, example : few months back some guys hit pancake rock off of Lyons Valley rd, I was sitting in my driveway in Lakeside talking to them on the rock, at least 20 miles as the crow flies from my house, my best reception was just starting thru the narrows on my way to Ocotillowells & started yaking with the guys waiting at the Ranger station, another 20 mile conversation except i was in the canyon, great reception with no breaks or fades, can't say enough good about them...

I don't know what it was $$$ wise as it was a gift (or he got tired of me complaining haha) But pretty sure it was under $200 or right at $200 which is a great price seeing how new CB's can run up to & beyond that price for a range of a couple miles of communication & he's an unbelieveable tech. when it comes to getting them dialed in...

I'm digging the gift price hahaha. Yea i Savin for some new headlights I'll prolly just get the antenna tuned out and be done with it. I'm still really really wanting to get a tube bumper bent up. I just can't be spending 600 bucks for one. I wanna make one

There again we've got a couple guys here that can help out, maybe not for free but the barter system is alive & well & you never know around here what will come your way as long as a guy doesn't prove themselves to be an un-appreciative douchebag... you know what i'm sayin' I'm sure..

A few years ago me & Matt (Recklesstaco, now in Nevada) & greg (gregero) were knocking out lift installs for local guys for the pricy sum of $00.00. all we asked was an appreciation of what was being offered, that went well till a couple guys (who will remain nameless) more or less killed the commaradery with getting a $1000 gift (price of labor for complete installs) only to bitch about the time it took or worse , not even a thank you, so needless to say that shit came to a screaching halt with the exception of a few good guys that needed help

Yeah man am one of the good ones ha. I bring pizza to my window tinter every time I get a ticket and he's gotta re place it ha. It's hard to find good trustworthy people now a days, really this world is full of stupid fucks. I don't mind paying or working something out. A truck stop would prolly be 20 bucks or so to tune it. I talked to one member I forgot his name that was going to help me bend up a bumper someday so hopefully he comes though. I like learning and getting into it like I said before I broke my back so this website has really kept me going with installs on my truck and talking to you guys plus made me lose money but I gotta say I love my wife's and my truck a lot. Sucks though cuz I'm the only one working on our trucks it's lonely hahaha all my buddy's either have nissans that suck and they don't do work on them or sports Cars, I was into the race see few years ago

Well I'm about 4 or 5 miles from you & I'm usually home & the garage (make that carport) is usually open as most locals will tell you, it may look a mess but usually pretty well stocked for tools & if i don't have it another old fart friend of mine close by def. has what is needed, doesn't hurt he used to ride/race professionally (district 38) & some roundyround left turn NASCARing as well, plus he has an old school Chevy thats got a built 400 with fox resis & detroit lockers front & rear def. beast.. my point is if you need a hand or place to do yer deeds maybe i can help ya out
