I have got to do something about this damn taco lean. I have a 1/4" spacer sitting on top of the drivers side and still lean. I'm thinking I'll have to break down and buy the OME trim packer and pull the shock to have it put in. Thoughts?

I have the 886 coils, but the front is too low. I don't see an option for a heavier spring either.

I don't know what you're talking about good sir!

Not impressed with the ORI's? What's your suggestion then?

my theory is that when an existing product leaves something to be desired, you upgrade. so far, i have not seen performance coilovers leaving anything to be desired. mix that with the fact that if you blow a seal on a coilover, you have a slightly bouncier ride than average on the way home. if you blow a seal on an ORI, you ride home on a flat bed. the quick adjustability and tuning is cool, but i've really only adjusted my coilovers 2 times, and am just now having to worry about valving. the two aspects of suspension that i've really never had to pay much attention to, are the 2 items the ORI markets. then beyond that, there is the settling "issue". it's not really a big deal depending on the person, but they have a slightly higher internal friction (static, not kenetic). so when you stop the vehicle, ride height may vary. so if you just made a left hand turn into a parking space, your right side may be sitting lower than the left. or if you come to a stop at a stop light, you may sit there with more rake than usual.

if i were to go with ORIs, it'd be because i planned on running an on-board nitrogen system, with in-cab controls, to adjust the suspension height on the fly. it would allow you to keep the truck nice and low, but raise the truck up with the flip of a switch when you got hung up on something. essentialy the suspension version of wheeling in 2wd until you need 4wd.

bottom line is that i like them....just not for the relatively stock aplications that you and I are running.

Edit: my suggestion is Fox, Icon, Custom built Sway-away, Race runner, Ohlins, ETC. (custom meaning have them match the icon valving)

You know me, it'll take a while for me to come up with the setup that I want. Lots of research to do, and no impulse buys.

For now the OME trim packer will have to suffice.
