Seems like when I've been before it was with people wanting to booze. We've stayed at the Four Points with a balcony on Bourbon on the second floor. It's okay for that just not what I'm looking for for the parentals.

We're staying one block off Bourbon on Royol near Canal Street.

Well....seems like my issue went deeper that what I assumed.
Seems like a previous OP's leader who I went toe to toe pretty much on a daily basis manipulated my unpaid off days from last year. Nearly getting me a final written warning.
And on top of that.. Some old man from another bay wants to practically throw down in the aisle over some stupid plastic bags they were taking from my area. REALLY?

Somedays, I swear. I could give up 15 yrs of service, moving twice for this company.
Leaving my family and friends not once, but twice, to go home to indiana and pump gas for $10 hr.

How much longer before you'd get your full retirement from them?

Hang in there and play it cool as possible. It'd be wrong to lose your return on 15 yrs invested. Vent here to us, not there to them. I'm just sayin' ... OK?

I know all about what your dealing with.. Try living with that person for months at a time.

I'm seriously starting to get pretty sore from that bus running me over.. Had two things blamed on me, just because that certain someone can't accept ANY responsibility.. Luckily everyone see'd right through their BS.

    Almost at wit's end.

Starting to get a little burned out.. Been going straight since the 16th of Feb.

    2.5 more months.

    Good morning guys.

Day off so of course my sleep & weather is f'ed up.

Jake, I know what you're saying about the phone making you look stupid....some of us have been able to use that as an excuse. :)

So Rich, I somehow missed the details of your conflict and how the guy messed with your unpaid time off. I'd be ALL OVER that if I were you. I'm really ultra laid back by choice and part of keeping it that way is addressing very issue immediately.

As far as the dude messing with your hours/time off. Sounds like he's being fraudulent (in a few ways) where I work that's really one of only a few ways to get walked.

Yea. Very tempted to go to hr about it. If it concerned my money, I would have.
And yes, they walk you for falsifying docs here as well.
Going to sit on it for a few days.

How many of us have issues with insomnia? Over the last couple weeks I've only been able to sleep 4-4.5 hours during the day. Anyone have any tips?

Been on the night shift (midnight to 9am) for 8 months now and occasionally had a 4-5 hour "night" but it hasn't been a continual thing. I usually flip to day schedule on the weekends and when I do that I can sleep without issue. I've been doing the weekend flip since I started the shift.

My normal sleep period is 6.5-7.5 hours. I have a custom blackout curtain that velcro's around the large window in my room, and I put towels to block the light creeping in under the door, my room is cool, comfortable, and quiet. When I wake up I can't go back to sleep even if I lay in bed for hours. I generally wake up tired after one of these short sleep days.
