Anyone need some firewood and willing to come get it in south Tipton county?

I think it's mostly maple and red gum with maybe some black walnut and oak mixed in too.
It's cut to random lengths ranging maybe 12-24 inch long each.
Rough guess I'd say there is about enough to fill a Tacoma (long bed).

 

I found out today my big ass tree in my back yard can not be cut down. It has to come down on its own. Which I'm calling bs but a friend that is with the county said it is a protected tree. Black oak. Anyone ever heard of this? He said mostly due to species of tree but also to do with sheer girth of the tree. It is well over 6 ft round at the base.

 

well just being over 6’ around a lot of people will tell you it can’t come down. the probably is finding someone with the right chain saw to do the jop(probably need at least a 24” blade to even come close to taking it down. and IMO thats still maybe to small) and that is still going to be hard to do with that size blade. you will have to notch one side(facing the way you want it to fall) and have to cut from both sides and than make a back cut)make a straight cut on the other side of tree)

now idk anything about it not being able to be cut because of the type of tree.

 

To supercharge or not supercharge. That is the question. I crave boost but I really don't feel like building two cars right now. Maybe I should buy a bike.

ya i love charelston sc! nice down town, folly beach is nice! and about a 15 20 min from down town.

why you ask?

 

We're going there for spring break next week. Trying to figure out some stuff to do. Also, Literally everyone I've talked to has said to go to Folly Beach.

 

YES GO! folly is nice. kinda relaxed but has a few bars across the road from the beach.

down town is nice. hold on i’ll get a ling to another thread that was posted a few weeks ago with other stuff to do and check out.

Hummmm the wife wants to go to the beach and I want to not go to the beach. Charleston sounds like the place to go haha.

 

lol. yeah i really don’t care much for beaches like some. after a week i’m tired of it. i’d much rather go camping in the mountains or something than the beach.

 

Yeah were Camping out in Virginia this weekend and then heading to Charleston during the week for a few days. The beach for me is good for about a day but then after that the sand is everywhere and I just get pissed. Also finding sand in places you don't want sand, a few days later also sucks.

 

Yeah I've been to a beach just a few times and i get bored after a couple hours. Now give me a bar on the beach or a strip club under a pop up tent or a shark wrestling demonstration and I'm there!!!!

 

Last I was down I saw a baby shark and tried to catch it with my bare hands.. It swam off to fast.

 

Add it to my brush pile and eventually burn it. Likely lead to a forest fire and turn half the county to ash.
