Welcome to this crazy thread. Better than my facebook wall lmfao.

I derped my emblems and center caps and they've lasted over 2 years and the edges are barely starting to peel off. Also did my grill which has no chipping/peeling. only problem is they seem to attract and hold the dirt/dust so idk about a hood haha.

^ this. It's a pain in the ass to clean! And once it gets dirty it's super hard to get it to look nice and clean again

Glad Dan got out. He was with me. We started exploring some trails and took a right when we should have stayed on the road.

    Lessons learned!
    1 Buy 4x4
2 Don't go down trails you don't know with someone else who doesn't know them
    3 have recovery gear!
    4 Have recovery gear

We tried to run around and find someone with recovery straps and drove back to Fontana to find some but had no luck so I had to drop Dan off at home. I had to get my kids back to their mother who was starting to get pissed at me for all ready being late lol. (we are divorced) I was going to go back with Dan today to pull him out but I am glad his girls dad was able to help him.

I think it's real cool everyone here who was willing to help!

Thank you for the info....hmmmm I wonder if there is anything I can spray on top of it (clear coat?) that would help eliminate that but then would it not look like a matte finish if I did? Not even sure I'd want to do that because I saw a video that showed by doing that it made it really hard for the dip to peel off. I could wipe it down daily...lol....I just really love the look of it.

i got out but thanks ryan!

i believe it was that one..it wasnt that bad getting out..i just fucked up trying to turn it around...there is a trail going back to the right that has some big ass boulders and we saw a cross where someone seemed to have died.. steve and i were hiking around there to see how to get out and saw a snake on the floor...Thanks to everyone who considered helping me out, i was going to leave it out there but my father in law didnt let me so he had a few beers and up we went. Only hard part was finding the truck in the dark lol.

I was the taco at the exit when you guys exit. Your father in law has a silver silverado right? I went up and didn't see you. I saw a set of headlight on a ridge across from me but then I lost them. I exited about 5 mins after you guys did so you guys were close behind.

 duuuuuude you need to keep me in the loop on this kind of shit. I am usually down as long as I get a little bit of a heads up. I need to sign up on expedition portal :anonymous:

FIFY :D Glad to hear you learned your lesson

Glad to hear you got out. I didn't check the site all weekend or else I would have been down to bust a mission out there. I would be super scared to leave my truck out on a trail like that

I don't think so. I feel like plastidip is good if you aren't sure you like the look or want to try different things, but if you know thats the look you want get it powdercoated, or sand it and paint it. It will last a lot longer and then no derp :cookiemonster:

Must've missed the Hiatt story somehow, but I'm all ears.

Turned my truck into the dealer since the actuator should be under the 5-year drivetrain warranty. Some dude had his 2014 there last week, snorkel, skids, suspension, etc, getting his supercharger installed. Turns out, he also needed his actuator replaced at the same time since 4wd wasn't engaging. We'll see.

Those Add's are the worst invention ever. Toyota needs to go back to manual hubs and levers.
