All this talk of potential trail damage and tires is making me antsy :D i have one slightly hefty purchase coming up next week, also considering the BashFab rear bumper GB... if that doesn't happen then sliders will be next:cool:

Of all my armor my sliders come in a close second to my skids and that's really only because I had 31's on for a while... My rear bumper does have some good rash on it but 1st gens have better stock ass clearance anyways.

I haven't even destroyed my stock skid yet :p. It has a decent dent though haha.

sliders first man. Do you have a rear tow hitch? if so..that'll save your ass on the tacoma for a while. bed sides not so much but if you have 3-4'' of rear lift you'll be fine. sliders help a ton.

Chad makes good stuff though. But still a pricey bumper IMO for a GB.

    if you call those skids..

Sliders will definitely be soon, need skids as well since the AP bumper doesn't work with stock ones. I do have a receiver hitch but I was just thinking about the rear bumper since its a GB and i cant resist a GB :D..

But after looking just now and punching some numbers I could get a CBI bumper with a swingout and similar options for pretty close to the same price so...idk making me reconsider a bit.

yea exactly. Not that much cheaper. Think his prices are a bit high IMO.

always thought that was stupid of Allpro to do that. You can only use Allpro skids...i mean..smart buissness idea..but PITA for everyone else. You can't run Bud builts or skidrows either. kinda lame.

    which sliders you thinking of?

My thoughts exactly i thought it was kinda retarded since basically every other company that makes bumpers allows you to at least use your stock skids.

Undecided on sliders still, Considered 4xInnovations with the kickout and DOM tube upgrade..Theres also SOS concepts here on TW, i think hes over on the East coast which i considered as well. Then Adam mentioned Addicted Offroad lol so now there's that. And Addicted is in Ft Collins which i visit every now and then so i could probably have them do the install while im there.

yea hard to get a bad pair of slider.

shipping would suck for SOS ones. Plus i don't like how there are only 3 support legs on his sliders. Least he din't when he first started.

I have seen lots of different ones though. they are all good really.

Yeah shipping sorta steered me away from SOS a bit. Still nice sliders and I'm always down to support a small outfit like that.

Kinda leaning towards Addicted now. Could make a weekend trip outta that pretty easily.

hey Monte, do you have a measurement on how tall your co2 tank holder is? My ghetto system of holding the tank just isnt a good idea to be mobbing around with haha.

Yeah i can't imagine i'd beat on them to the point where i wished i had upgraded tubing but it wouldn't hurt..i guess i'd rather be over protected than under protected lol

What do you guys think about this "bumper".

I was thinking about getting this over the summer and was wondering what other people opinion in it was.

Pretty cool actually! Not enough protection for me though, i like at least having the hoop and some plate to replace the stock one since the deer get pretty ambitious when crossing the roads around here.

But in an area where you didn't want/need the full protection of a plate bumper that would be cool.

I wanted a full plate bumper but with all the weight it would add and only having the 4 banger I have decided against it and I wouldn't use it to its full potential.

Hmm..i can't remember..have to get my dad to measure the bracket.

that said its pretty much the exact height of the bed rails in both my truck and my dads. Hell i think my dad attached it using the stock rails in the bed with bolts like how he does his bed rack.

also..finally got new headphones. We get them for being in audio haha. ATH-M50xs. Seem pretty nice so far. Very smooth and good bass. But thats just first impression. Not quite a crisp as the ones you let me use. But better then my sony's.

Yea..i have thought about reuploading everything to flickr..might do it. Can't hurt haha

Mine are HREW too..and i haven't had an issue. Not sure its worth the cost either really.

Really not that much more weight. Like 50-60lbs net gain. With a winch then its like 100lbs net.

its works i guess though if you really don't want a full bumper.
