It was my pleasure taking lead (with Eric) Yeah we had 9 total vehicles. Nobody had any issues at all that couldn't be conquered with the skinny pedal and/or a corrected line. Open diff madness!

Good times were had by all.

You did great! You showed all the other no-show 2wd guys up big time!

    ^^ this

    ^^ because of this

Next time let's make it a camp trip at the top

Likewise! Glad you came out and had fun

    Nice!

Always a good time with you, Josh. We MUST paintball soon. Let's put a plan together.

Damn, wish I could have seen that!

There's always a next time, brotha.

Even crappy hole-in-the-wall food tastes good when you're that hungry, and after a successful run. CB's are key on groups like this so everyone can stay connected, plus the jokes are better. I urge anyone who wheels and doesn't have a CB yet to make that your next mod. You can get a decent setup with good antenna for about $100.

    Great pics!

Could be UCA ball joints. How old are they?

    Great pics!

Overall, this was a very successful run. We all had fun, we had zero douchebags, and everyone drove responsibly and didn't break anything. I think we all challenged ourselves more than once on some new obstacles. I know I took some new lines this time and had a blast. 9 trucks was about the max on this for keeping a good pace, and considering how much we stopped for pics and pee breaks, we made awesome time at just under 4 hours total trail time.

I'd wheel with any of you guys again, for sure. Thanks for keeping it a good trip.

Looks and sounds like a great time was had.

Camping was very good. Feeling the firewood cutting/splitting/carrying/burning today for sure.

I have some video, too. That damn GoPro always makes everything look easier than it is. Like the vid of Eric coming up that big boulder garden... looks like a minivan could drive up it (until he starts hitting some of the obstacles and his truck is bouncing all around). I had the camera set on super high def everything with protune, so it's going to take a year to get them edited/uploaded. One of my clips was under 30 seconds long and it's 458MB. Holy hell.

that spot claimed alot of dents on my truck last time. gas tank smashed, nice size dent in my frame, sliders took a good beating, smashed my headers (been having bad problems with them since)

this time around i only bent my LCA mount back a wee bit :)
so glad i was able to conquer that spot with no help this time!!

    And here's the proof...

It looks so plain and simple from up top, but the dirt hides the terrain quite well.

I now understand some things. When I had my prerunner I was like why would anyone want to take the hard routes and now I want to go back with skids and sliders and more lift in the back and take the hard lines.

those are just screenshots from the GoPro, too. I have a 4 minute basic video being converted right now so I can upload to YouTube. I'll have a link to it by the end of the day.

Didn't take as long as I thought.

Anyways, sound is turned off because my shackles on my front bumper are noisy as fuck. Eric's part up the boulder garden starts at 1:50. Silent movie..

    exactly!

i LOVE to challenge myself. to me, if its really hard to get up something, and it takes 10 minutes, with some slider and skid plate bashing, THAT is a GREAT time!!
thats why i like the 4x4 prerunner, best of both worlds! can haul ass like a prerunner, and can crawl like a crawler :)
but.... you break alot of shit and it costs alot of money to have a 4x4 prerunner... :(

stoked to see the video. gay work :(
