No mobil 1 5w30 in my country, that's why I have to look for other brands. Total is just like Mobil or Shell and is a shop which sells gasoline and diesel

    Curious: where are you located?

Just have a peek at your truck's owner's manual and ensure that the specs of the oil in question meet or exceed Toyota's requirements in the book.

The oil is from France. If I couldn't find something I trusted(Mobil 1, Royal Purple) I'd compare what's on this sheet to one from one of the reputable brands.

It appears to be a diesel oil. The V6 is a gas engine.

They sais it is intended for all diesel engine and for most gasoline engines but we have to check the specs first

If it works and is in specs go for it! Make your oil decisions between Mobil 1 and Total if you can. I'd love to run Total.

It doesn't have an API certification but an ISO certification

I hope it won't hurt my engine because no one has ever try in this forum. By the way the total oil is cheaper than the mobil 1 in my country. I think this is because every product from France have less tax than other countries

Check the specs with the auto parts shop. They should have separate oils for diesel and gas. To me it seems fine. I trust total.. Formula one trusts total. If you are iffy, try 5w-20 Mobil 1. But if it's in specs for most gas engines, I think it should be fine.

To me it looks fine. As an auto technician, I wouldn't see a problem but like I said, check with the store if it is only diesel or both or gas.

X2, the specs seem relatively comparable. Oils designed for modern diesels in passenger cars have a low ash/sulfur content to prolong the life of and not clog the diesel particulate filter. That's the reason it states for use in diesel engines. I say email the oil specs to Toyota for confirmation if you're unsure about using it.

Total is excellent oil, French... but this one is not a synthetic, where Mobil-1 is so they are not comparable, that doesn't mean M-1 is better. The additives in Total are very advanced and should work fine, but you have to check the manual to make sure it works. 4.0 cylinder liners and heat treating are not the same than many engines, and each require it's own 'blend' of additives...
