    im gonna throw this out there with as much respect as possible. in my honest opinion, moab in the summer is not a place for dogs. especialy living out of a truck for a week. its so hot and very little shade is available to them its really sad and not fun for them. i love dogs, but hate to see them over heating. if your hot, your dog is really fuckin hot.... like i said its just my opinion, something to think about

    Basically the same thing. I am looking for a decent tent that will handle a good amount of camping for most all seasons. The on that I have came down to is the Alps Mountaineering Extreme 3 but am a little undecided at the moment. And the most people would be two people and a small ass dog lol

    You can't really beat alps for the price. Especially if you can catch a deal on their gear on steepandcheap.com. I really like golite products but they discontinued many of their tents a while back but they may have released their new line up. If I were you I would get a 4 person tent so that you could both store your gear inside if ever backpacking and still have room to move around. I usually stay away from store-brand tents but I have been very impressed by REI brand tents. If you don't mind forking over cash big Agnes or hillebrand tents can't be beat.

    All of my armor except my Sliders is Skinkwerks. His shit rocks. I've beat the hell out of it with no issues. Hell yesterday my front bumper caught the whole weight of the truck as I had to back off a ledge and all it did was scratch the paint!:cool:
