4WD, well I gleaned a lot of useful info out of that, which is a good thing! I'm grateful for folks like you that impart their experience for others to see. I'm sure he picked up on it as well.

And yes, I'm an old sheet metal man from my military days. Haven't worked with it for sometime though. So to answer your question, yes there's significance.

Thanks again for the hints.

+1 on the hints and tips.
This is a textbook post to a message board. No trolling or anything. Just good solid experience based advise.
    Thanks Again!

Thanks Joe, it really pleases me when I can impart info unto those like yourselves who also use their skills to achieve what most just leave to someone else to do (like a shop) I'm also going to put up some pics that'll help clear any confusion if some should arise

    Got her all done!
Took me about 6 hours. Destroyed 4 sawzall blades before I gave up and went to the cut off tool. 2 hours was fighting with the top right shock bolt. It was rounded off and could not get to it. Since I'm gonna replace the bed with a flat bed I cut an access hole to get a pair of vise grips on the bolt.
I need to buy that bolt now. It's a 1.25 thread on a 8 mm shank though. Couldn't find that at any hardware stores here. I put the chewed up on the bottom with anti seize so I can get it out.
Couldn't get cut off wheel between front leave bracket and the spring so I cut the head off and drove it thru till it touched the gas tank then cut that inch off on the back side. Drove it out another inch and cut it off again. That was enough to get all the way out.
I ended up doing one side at a time. Install was gravy on both sides.
80% of the time was cutting thru all the fasteners. My air compressor couldn't keep up.
I hate oil less compressors so much.
At any rate it's all done and rides great. Huge difference.
Next up is every bushing up front, ball joints, outside tie rods and stabilizer links.
Buying a welder next week to fix my access hole and to patch a hole in the floor board.

Good job Joe! Nobody said it was gonna be ez! Say, have you tried Ace hardware for that 8x1.25 bolt? My Ace carries just about every bolt imaginable. Worth a try if you haven't checked them out already.

Good luck on the front end. :D
