The weather has not been cooperative for washing the truck. It'll be nice for a few days in a row, then snow/rain/wet roads. So I haven't washed the truck much at all in the past few months.

So I'm practically lifting my gf in and out of my truck when we go out on dates... just so she doesn't get crud all over her nice clothes.

Hahah I guess it could end one of two ways, rough sex, or being single, I guess it's a win win either way. ;)

It's less Tacoma and more mod
I changed the ole air filter today, had a nasty NAPA brand one and replaced with a WIX brand filter. I want an AFE Filter, but my current filter actually developed a small tear so I thought it'd be best to just buy the best filter I could find around me.

Are those stuck on with the 3M adhesive ring? How do you lube the uni ball?

Yes, you get 2 sets of adhesive rings so you can service the uniballs.

I guess the dust covers do their job well because I have to lube my Camburgs about once a month to prevent squeaks.

I've about killed myself trying to jump out of my truck in a dress and heels. It's tough making it over the sliders when they're dirty haha

She's 5'4" also. Just wait until I actually put a mild lift on. As it currently sits I bet I'm at least an inch below stock.

I'm 5' 4" and have no trouble getting into the truck haha I'm used to it though.

The gf on the other hand hates it when the truck is dirty...

Having installed a set, I would not call them a "straight bolt-on" UCA. A couple of the ABQ TWers helped me at a friend's place that had a 20 ton shop press. We pressed the spindle to arm "coupler" into the top of the spindle. I could not imagine having used the bottom cup and the bolt to "press" the "coupler" into the top of the spindle. Would've required tonnes of leverage and something to hold it with. Everything else slipped into place. The only other complaint was lack of torque values.

I will say, the instructions that came with them were for the 2nd Gen even though it pictured the 1st Gen hardware. Completely different setup and we had to do a little bit of thinking to get the job done.

And, yes, the 1st Gen arms can be covered with the cover kit or possibly a neoprene boot. The top bolt has a nice low profile.

My only concern would be the fact that the bottom is open but easy enough to rinse every so often. Gravity is your friend.

Complete OME kit w/ 881's and dakars. All-Pro Sliders, CB, HAM Radio and various other minor stuff.
Other than replacing a worn part, what are the advantages of these UCA's?

Depends on your suspension really. Every setup will be slightly different.
