Yeah from what im hearing everyone's happy with their 2.7L ac cab, this and another thread I posted within. Was debating between a Tacoma or a jeep patriot.I dont even consider the Patriot anymore. Now it was standard or ac.The ac cab with the sr options I want including security is about $2,300.I dont think thats a bad deal. And I like the bucket seats over the bench type.Cant wait !

Here's my '09. I've driven the V6 plenty of times, I have no regrets with the 4cyl:

I've driven manual transmissions for years and I'm trying to get my shift points right. It seems like it doesn't like 1st when coming to a stop until the transmission is warm and you are completely stopped, but 2nd seems to be too low...say, like in traffic where you are rowing up and down.

    I'm doing something wrong?

I only use first when starting from a complete stop. If I'm in slow going traffic I'll usually stay with second gear. Only if I'm rolling really slow will I use first such as under 10 mph. Second seems just right to me in slow traffic so I'm not sure if I'm much help but I hope my experience helped you out a little.

Mine is the same way. Consensus is it is just the nature of the beast from all that I have read. Mine is very clunky when cold and shift points seem to be all over the place. The drive by wire doesn't help the matter.

and about the trans, they really fucked up with how tall 2nd is. 1st is so short compared to 2nd. Its really hard to even do 10 mph in 2nd

Good, I thought it was just me. It seems like in certain situations 2nd is lugging it but it doesn't want to be in 1st either.

I'd say that's a good way to put it.

That's too bad, TB. Its a beautiful color. When I had the dealer search out a truck for me I didn't specify color but I got lucky!

Complete OME kit w/ 881's and dakars. All-Pro Sliders, CB, HAM Radio and various other minor stuff.
Same here. Big Red is growing on me but I like the subdued colors, especially green, much better.

I had a choice of black, white or (what I think was) red. The black one would have put 200 miles on the truck in transit; the white 38. So I went with white. Everything else I've ever owned was silver or graphite. I don't think the model I have (the base AC) even comes in the green. I think most of the trucks around here are ordered in white because of the likelihood of commercial use. That said, most of the dealers only had, if any, one or two and they were the maximum kit ones...TRD Limited double-cab etc...with no manuals.

I went to the dealership that I got my 2013 tacoma pictured in my signature and I told them for my replacement I wanted the convinence package in manual in anything but white or silver. Unfortunatly for me those are the most common colors in manual with convinence package. All the black, MGM, and red ones they tried to get me at other dealer were spoken for. That same dealership stocks almost only TRD off road and sports. Very rarely do they have base or convinence packages. They do have some SR5 Tacomas but not many. So I went elsewhere and the one I ended up getting was one that came in when my new dealer traded with another dealership. They are hard trucks to come by.
