Welcome to the spindle life! You're gonna love em. Are you gonna run wheel spacers in the rear or keep the front wider?

I may run spacers in the rear. I know my fronts are gonna be extra wide since I already have spacers up front. Im gonna see what it looks like first then go from there. Do alot of people run spacers in the rear? ?

Nice. Word of advice: tape off the machined areas and paint the whole spindle. Give it several coats of paint; I didn't and rust is beginning to show through some areas.

As Newlife said, take the spacers off the front (unless you need them because you're using the stock OEM wheels with MT spindles) and put the spacers in the rear. Eventually I'm going to put spacers in the rear.

^^^^This. Wouldn't hurt to spray a clear coat over it after you paint it too (looks really nice) .

Paint them for sure, worth the time and cost of paint. If you don't your going to hate yourself in a month from now. I like satin black but semi gloss looks good too.

I used satin black with a single application of clear coat. Again, learn from my mistake and use multiple coats of both before installing.

A local member had his powder coated white & left the machined areas exposed, his are rusting from the machined areas & has rust stains running down the spindles.
I haven't installed mine yet but I have painted them, even the machined areas after seeing his. Don't know if it will hurt but if it does I'll have to strip those areas.

    Pic of mine painted.

Ugh, I have a bunch of surface rust all over mine. I keep beating myself up for not painting them first. I thought the paint looked pretty good, so maybe they had started painting/treating them better. nooooooooooope

That sucks. Paint them on the truck, you could unbolt the hubs & tape off the ball joints/tierods. Im glad I read this thread while waiting for mine to get here & got to see some all rusty first hand.

Mine are rusting on the machines surfaces as well. Really irritating. I have a new set ready to go on this weekend. I think I am going to leave the rusted areas like they are when I send the old ones back and let them see it first hand. Not to be a duck about it. But to see if they have a way of changing something to prevent it.

I know. If i hadn't read all the posts about it on here i would have thought the same thing. They looked to be painted well from factory. Oh well, kind of fun spraying them myself anyways. Thanks TW!!

Why do you have to replace them?

Neither of them were machined right and my wheel bearings make contact with the backside of the spindles
