There's nothing wrong with liking those guys' music. I like some of their songs. (Except Luke Bryan. I can't stand to hear him.) I just don't think any of them are country. They're "Bro Country" or "Pop country" or "new country". Whatever you wanna call this new stuff.

Hank, George, Garth, Waylon, Conway - that's COUNTRY.

Amen brother amen. Bro country is definitely what I'd call it. Still love some of it though. I mean "take a little ride" by Jason aldean, if you don't like that song then go home! Haha

    haha I agree!

You all need a little banjo in your lives though. Can't go wrong with some Bluegrass.

I could go on for days. lol like most genres there are a lot of sub genres.. Old Time, Traditional, Gospel, NewGrass, etc.

I'd say try a little of everything. I know people who swear by the classics like Flatt and Scruggs and cant stand the newer generation, I know people the exact opposite, and then there are people like me who like it all. Here are some of my favorites..

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDgYN5qeG4Y

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=helVMY8hc2g

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5c1k949Zn4

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3larcGfwC0g

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ot7iW1VEUfo

and yea. I could go on but I'll spare you. haha Some of the artists/bands I would definitely check out would be Flatt & Scruggs, Bill Monroe, The Stanley Brothers and The Clinch Mountain Boys, The Bluegrass Album Band, Tony Rice, Doc Watson, Alison Krauss & Union Station, Blue Highway, Balsam Range, Steep Canyon Rangers, Dan Tyminski, and Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver.

That'll take you a little while, but it'll cover most of the bases and you'll get an idea whether you like the classics or the modern, or if you're like me and like it all. haha

Great Damn Song! Got it on my phone and listen to it at the gym. A lot of times I bet people would be like "what the &@^$" if they actually heard what kind of music motivates me at the gym.

Arguably one of my most favorite singers out there.

Along with Easton Corbin and Chris Young.

I listen to about 97% country music. I even like a lot of the new stuff, but I have a greater appreciation for the good older country. Here are a few I've been listening to lately.

Lastly, I got to see George Strait in Vegas during the Super Bowl so I gotta put one up here for the greatest country singer of all time.
