Problem...

The ROV can run sidescan sonar and perhaps locate wreckage, but it can't go below 14,000ft, so even if it can paint the bottom, it can't get down far enough to photograph it.
The Pentagon's pinger locator can only scan down to 20,000ft (4 miles).
The wreckage is estimated to be at 23,000ft.

Keep in mind that 23,000ft under water is at 700 atmosphere's of pressure.
That's over 10,000psi!

The Titanic is at 12,000ft by comparison.
China claims to have gone to 22,000ft with a manned sub, but the record remains at 35,000 for the bathyscaphe Trieste in 1960.
