I have 2008 Tacoma 4x4 SR5 with a 2.5" lift and Spidertraxx 1.25" wheel spacers. I'm currently running BFG AT's 265/75/16's. Want to change it up just for looks. I had some slight rubbing with my current set up underneath driver fog light housing. What are your thoughts and can I get some pics?

It rubbed the fog light housing but I trimmed it and it's good now.

I'm also contemplating 285/75/16's in street tires.

Yes, no mud or all terrains.
Maybe the rugged terrains, or something like that.
    Any pics.

275/70 are slightly small in circumference and slightly wider than the 265/75. Hard to say if your going to rub since they are wider. You might not really find much of a difference.

Cant say if you can or cant run 285's with the spidertrax but I have 285's with a 3 inch lift and its awesome. I only rub slightly in reverse. Personally I would go with 285 AT unless you offroad alot.

So, the 275/70/16 would be smaller in circumference? I thought it would be slightly bigger or the same as 265/75/16, if that's the case, I don't want to go smaller in circumference or width. I'm leaning towards the 285/70/16 if they make them, and if not, 285/75/16. Now I'm trying to decide on a street tire or a slight AT or Rugged Terrain, maybe even rugged trails???
    REMEMBER: I HARDLY GO OFF-ROADING!
    Anyone's thoughts on this please?
    Thanks

Okay so have been reading everything I can find about tire sizes and have not seen anyone answer the size question I am about to ask. I am looking at a 3" lift and have the TRD sport 17" wheels. I would like to stay with the 17 and do not want to space them out because of premature wheel bearing wear. Will a 275/70/17 clear the upper control arm or not? I have seen that some are running the 265's but not the 275's and I am looking to get the bigger overall diameter. Will this work or do I have to go to a smaller tire? I really would like to go bigger than the 165/65/17 that is on it stock.
    Thanks

Someone said the 275/70's would be smaller in circumference, which would mean they're smaller in diameter. I don't know though, I'm still waiting for a response from my last post.

So I've decided on either 275/70/16 (which is only available in Nitro Grapplers) or 285/75/16 with a less aggressive tread and the most inexpensive (like the Fallen ATS II's) Your suggestions?

I meant The Falcons, which are really inexpensive.
